The Linksys WRVS4400N Wireless-N^* Security Router includes an embedded Virtual Private Network (VPN) engine for secure communication and file transfers between remote workers and the company network. This unique wireless router also incorporates advanced firewall features and the Linksys Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) to secure the network from external threats, including worms, DDoS attacks, and viruses.

Wired for Gigabit Speeds. The WRVS4400N also features a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch so heavy traffic loads can come into and out of the network without getting hung up at the router. It also features integrated QoS to provide consistent voice (VoIP) and video performance on both wired and wireless networks.

Rogue Access Points and Clients Detected. The Linksys WAP4400N Wireless Access Point and WPC4400N Wireless Notebook Adapters include Linksys Wireless Security Monitor for detecting and alerting network administrators to rogue Access Point or unauthorized client attacks.

Power of N + Power over Ethernet = Freedom. The Linksys WAP4400N Wireless Access Point is a PoE (Power over Ethernet) device. That means it can be placed anywhere you can run an Ethernet cable from a PoE switch because the WAP4400N doesn’t need a wall outlet to get power. This gives small businesses the freedom to place and position the WAP4400N virtually anywhere in their building – high up on a wall, in a ceiling, or under a conference room table. Alternatively, the WAP4400N can also be powered with a regular power supply.

Compatibility and Interoperability. Linksys Wireless-N^* products are backwards compatible and interoperable with legacy 802.11b and 802.11g devices. For optimal Wireless-N^* speeds and range both the wireless router or access point and the notebook cards must be Linksys Wireless-N^*.
